Occupational therapy for adults
Including neurodivergent people, and those with physical and neurological disability.
Through collaborative therapy and comprehensive assessment, including assistive technology, home modifications, and functional capacity assessments, I focus on strengthening participation and independence. My practice is neuroaffirming, trauma informed, and centred on respectful, real world outcomes.
Who I work with
I work alongside adults, and their support teams, who want daily life to work better: at home, in the community, and at work or study. That includes:
- Neurodivergent adults, including autistic, ADHD and AuDHD
- People living with hypermobility and hEDS, POTS and other forms of dysautonomia, chronic pain, fatigue and autoimmune conditions that often travel alongside neurodivergence
- Adults with physical and neurological disability, including those who need equipment, assistive technology and home modification assessments
- People navigating the effects of trauma and burnout
Whether you need practical therapy, the right equipment, or an assessment to support your goals, we start with what matters to you.
What is occupational therapy?
"Occupation" doesn't mean your job. It means all the everyday things that fill your time and matter to you, from getting ready in the morning to working, studying and staying connected. Sometimes what gets in the way is the task or the environment, and sometimes it's how your brain and body work, your focus, your senses, your energy. Occupational therapy helps make those things more doable, by adjusting the task, changing the space or the equipment, or working with your strengths, so daily life fits you better.
What I can help with
The things I most often help adults work through
Setting and reaching goals
Naming what matters to you, unpicking the barriers, and a plan to get there.
Assistive technology
The right equipment, including wheelchairs and seating.
Home modifications
Changes to your home for safety, access and independence.
Executive function
Planning, getting started, and following through.
Sensory needs
Understanding your sensory profile, how it affects you, and managing it.
Autistic burnout
Pacing your energy, noticing it early, and recovering, not pushing through.
Everyday activities
Daily tasks like cooking and getting ready, done more independently.
Functional Capacity Assessments
Thorough assessments, often for NDIS planning and reviews.
Understanding your neurotype
How your brain and body work, and strategies that work with them.
